What We Would Like To Do For You!

What We Can Do For Your Pet!

  1. Furnish a helpful instructor to answer questions, demonstrate, and give  you and your dog moral support.

  1. Create an effective communication and mutual respect between dog and owner.

  1. Help you develop the skills you need to communicate with your dog on what is acceptable behavior and what is not.

  1. Create a Socialized dog.

  1. Create a trusting relationship with your dog, enabling you or your veterinarian to handle every part of the dog's body to check for injuries or illness. To accept the giving of medication if needed.

  1. Able to walk on a loose leash.

  1. Develop socialization skills in your dog so that the dog is comfortable with other canines and their owners.

  1. Able to understand basic commands such as "Sit, Heel, Down, Come and Stay."

  1. Create an environment in which the dog wants to please and listen to you.

  1. Tolerate medical care, exams and grooming. We provide the opportunity to attend a Heart/Eye Clinic every year.

  1. Create a desire for the dog to walk or run beside you without dragging you or strangling himself. Allowing you and the
    dog to get more exercise.

  1. Create a safer environment since the dog can now respond to commands that may keep the dog
safe from danger like "come" or "leave it".

  1. Teach you how to teach the dog basic commands that may one day save your dog's life.

  1. Most of all a happy, safe and well adjusted dog.

  1. Create a less stressful environment for your dog because the dog knows what behavior is expected.

  1. Provide the opportunities to be involved in a Canine Good Citizenship Testing event and Fun Matches in Agility, Rally and Obedience.

  1. May create an interest in other dog activities such as obedience,  conformation or agility competition. You might even have an interest in pursuing some kind of dog sports such as Flyball, Skijoring, Bikejoring, Disc Throwing or Herding to name a few. You may want to get your dog certified as a Canine Good Citizen so that the dog could
become a Therapy dog or  participate in a reading program  at your local library.

TEN COMMANDMENTS OF A RESPONSIBLE PET OWNER

1. My life is likely to last 10 to 15 years. Any separation from you will be very painful.
2. Give me time to understand what you want of me.
3. Place your trust in me- it is crucial for my well-being.
4. Don't be angry with me for long, and don't lock me up for my punishment. You have your work, your friends, your entertainment. I have only you!
5. Talk to me. Even if I don't understand your words, I understand your voice when it's speaking to me.
6. Be aware that however you treat me, I'll NEVER forget it.
7. Before you hit me, remember that I have teeth that could easily crush the bones in your hand, but I choose not to bite you.
8.Before you scold be for being lazy or uncooperative, ask yourself if something might be bothering me. Perhaps I'm not getting the right food, I've been out in the sun too long, or my heart may be getting old and weak.
9.Take care of me when I get old. You, too, will grow old.
10. Go with me on difficult journeys. Never say, "I can't bear to watch it" or, "Let it happen on my absence." Everything is easier for ME if you are there. Remember, I love you.
